Enter the drone economy

Drones aren’t just high-tech military machinery, recreational remote-controlled fun for kids or sophisticated delivery solutions for mega-corporations. From well-publicized applications like anti-poaching initiatives in the Kruger National Park and Amazon Prime Air, Amazon’s drone delivery system, to surveying and crop spraying, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) across all industries is growing exponentially. In fact, the commercial drone market is expected to reach $6.30 billion by 2026, according to Markets and Markets.

Not only are they already being used as a delivery option in some cities, drones are also being used commercially as first-aid vehicles, tools for police departments, as well as high-tech photography and recording devices for real estate properties, concerts, sporting events, and more. As the commercial drone industry grows, it is providing new opportunities to power some unique, service-driven solutions.

Industries such as agriculture, construction and engineering, to name a few, can benefit from using UAVs. Unfortunately, many businesses don’t have the resources or capabilities to integrate them into their operations, and even those that do are finding it challenging to get past the current regulations and get a holistic and complete view of their airspace.

Join speakers Keith Maleho from The South African Civil Aviation Authority, Karim Cosslett from Altitude Angel and iOCO’s Dean Condé for our webinar: How BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) flights can become an everyday occurrence. You will learn why unmanned traffic management (UTM) systems are becoming essential to avoid mid-air collisions, injury to people, and damage to property or other aircraft, and how to safely manage and integrate drone flights into your business operations.
